Central Beekeepers Association Cooking Booklet Feature

We're excited to let you know that Europa Inn is featured in 
the new booklet from Central Beekeepers Association NB.
Our Recipe: NB Honey Ice Cream & Banana

Ingredients: 

Honey-vanilla ice cream:

-2 cups of 2% milk
-2 cups 35% whipping cream
-1 split emptied vanilla bean (or 1Tbsp vanilla extract)
-2/3 cup sugar
-6 egg yolks
-5 Tbsp honey

Baked Honey Banana:

-1 Banana per person
-Honey
-1/3 cup honey graham crumbs
-Butter or oil 


Instructions:
Ice Cream: Heat milk, cream, sugar & scraped vanilla bean to almost boiling. Remove from heat, pour 1/2 of the hot mixture slowly into the eggs while stirring. Return the egg-mixture back in the pan. Add honey and stir. Strain through a fine sieve. Cover and refrigerate. When cold, freeze in an ice cream maker according to manufacturers directions.

Banana: Peel bananas, cut lengthwise in half, brush with honey and coat with Graham crumbs. Heat a medium frying pan at medium-high heat, add butter/oil, then the coated bananas. Cook on each side for a good minute. When bananas are nicely brown and soft they are ready.

Serve with fresh fruit garnish.
